Exam Policies
The office for students with Disabilities (OSD) works to ensure that appropriate testing accommodations are provided for students who are eligible for services. In order to maintain the integrity of the testing center and the exams being administered, the rules apply to all users of the testing services.
You are required to fill in the following information: sign in the exam log book the date, the type of exam, the class code and the instructor's name least two (2) business days prior to the scheduled time of the exam. All exams will be administered at the regularly scheduled time of the class, unless we (OSD) receive approval from your instructor to administer the exam at an alternate time. The alternate time must be given to the office manager in advance and in writing. You are required to give OSD two (2) working days ADVANCE notice of all exams, and cannot reschedule a date or time without the instructor's permission.
If your schedule changes for any reason, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to notify this office of those changes in WRITING. If you choose to change the date or time of a scheduled exam, please read the following procedure carefully: You may submit a handwritten note that details the time/date change signed by you and the respective instructor. Requests for changes may be made to us by phone or email only by the professor.
if you have not arrived and started your exam within 15 minutes of the stated time, your exam may be returned to the instructor. Please be on time. You will be required to present a picture ID prior to being issued your exam. You will be allowed to use only those items your instructor has approved for use on the exam. You are to supply necessary exam materials, including blue books, calculators, pencils, scantrons, etc. Breaks and trips to the restroom will be monitored by the OSD staff. You are responsible for following instructions on the exam and will assume any penalties that may result from misunderstandings and misinterpretations. You will be allowed to use only the amount of time allowed under agreement with your counselor. Anyone found cheating will be required to surrender his/her exam and the instructor will be notified. We monitor all testing on a regular basis.
