Liberal Arts
Why is Liberal Arts the most popular program of study at LaGuardia?
A Liberal Arts education provides students with a comprehensive foundation in language and literature, humanities, the social sciences, mathematics and the sciences.
Liberal Arts students learn how to reason critically, communicate effectively
and make connections across extensive (and, often, very different) fields of knowledge. They broaden their vision of the world and cultivate new interests and talents.
At some point during their course of study, either at LaGuardia or a senior college,
students select a specific major within Liberal Arts that reflects their interests or career goals.
