recognized School of Engineering at the City College of New York (CCNY)
debuts in September 2005.
NSF Scholarships
LaGuardia strongly encourages eligible engineering majors to apply for
National Science Foundation (NSF) scholarships. LaGuardia has been
awarded a prestigious grant to support these scholarships for students
who are pursuing Associate Degrees in computer science, engineering,
mathematics & related fields.
Students can receive scholarships for up to $3,125 per year, depending
upon their need and amount of funds available.
To be eligible, a student must:
- be a United States citizen, or an alien admitted as a refugee, or a
legal permanent resident;
- be enrolled full-time in a computer science, engineering or math
major.
- demonstrate academic potential. LaGuardia freshmen who have never
attended another college should have earned a B (or higher) grade point
average in high school. Current LaGuardia students must have a 2.75
college GPA and at least 9 credits earned at LaGuardia.
- demonstrate financial need and be eligible for Federal financial aid.
