Announcement!
Students are invited to submit essays to the 2nd Annual
FYE Common Reading Essay Contest. There are two prize categories: First
Year Students and Other Students At the College (students in their
2nd or 3rd year). Prizes will be awarded in both categories.
Essays should be between 500-1000 words. Any student using outside
sources should include proper in-text citations and a works cited list
at the end of the paper.
Students should include a cover sheet with:
Their name
Their professor's name (if this work was completed in a class)
Their semester and year at the college (First Semester, First Year,
etc.)
Their phone number
Their e-mail address
The deadline for submissions is 10 December 2003. All essays can be
delivered to:
