Instructional Review Sessions. High
school faculty, who were supported by the college teaching assistants,
taught instructional Review Sessions. Class size were small, and
teachers were highly accessible. a six week contend review of key
concepts in high school English Language Arts and Mathematics was offered
in the fall and two sections of Mathematics Instructional Review is
offered in the spring.
Regents Preparation. During the 10th grade, students were expected to take a Mathematics A Regents and a Global Studies Regents Examination. In anticipation of these examinations two Regents Prep classes - consisting of three intensive sessions each scheduled for four hours - were offered in Mathematics in the Fall, and one session each in Mathematics and Global studies were offered in the Spring. The demand for help in Mathematics was so great that GEAR UP offered additional sessions of Mathematics Prep in January and June.
